About this site
Browser extensions die quietly. One stops working after a Chrome update, another disappears from the store with no notice, a third has not been touched since 2019 but still sits in your toolbar asking for permission to read every page you open. The store shows none of this. It shows what is installable today, in the present tense, with no history.
This site keeps the history. We check listings ourselves, record what we find, and publish one page per extension answering the questions people actually arrive with: is it still there, does it still work, what can it read, and what should I install instead.
What we do not do
We do not review extensions. We have not tested them and we do not know which is best. We do not accuse anyone of anything — where our data shows that an extension can read every page you visit, that is a statement about capability, not conduct, and the pages are written to keep that distinction. We do not say why an extension was removed unless somebody has published a reason we can link to.
Who runs it
Written and operated by Alex.
Before launch: this page still needs a full name and a short biography. A first name alone is a weaker trust signal than none, because it looks like the appearance of accountability without the substance.
How it is paid for
Advertising. There are no affiliate links and no paid placements: nobody can buy a better score, a higher position in a list, or a spot in a replacement recommendation. The scoring method is published in full so that claim can be checked rather than trusted.
